Advice for an Experiment

Hi All,

I'm trying to set up an experiment involving reflecting a single laser beam several times around a large hall using small mirrors.

I obviously don't want it to be a fire risk, but it has to be on continuously for an extended period of time - so it can't be anything that can burn through a surface if it is continuously directed at a single point.

What should I consider when choosing a laser for this purpose? Would you happen to know any brands or models that would suit this?

Also, would shining a laser at a mirror damage the mirror?

Eye damage should be your first concern here. If the beam's path is where no one can accidently get hit in the eye you should be okay, but that needs to be absolute.

What is the purpose of your experiment? We can help you a lot better if you actually tell us what you're trying to do rather than suggest a vague parameter.
