Okay so today mom asked me to go to the value store with her. Its kind of like a massive garage sale of clothes and junk open year round, and I decided to go..
Im always seeing members posting about these random but awesome finds, my personal favorite was the DNA Sequencer lol. I didnt exactly buy a sequencer but I found a couple odd, but extremely cheap toys today.
The first one is called a projection pointer. It seems old, but its like brand new, and even came with a spare bulb in original packaging. It was made by a company in New York called Ednalite. It projects a white arrow at pretty nice distances. Id imagine its basically like the pre laser pointer. This pointer is part of the case that it comes in, and is wired to the case. The case has another wire that plugs into the wall socket. The pointer itself measures at about 14 inches long and has some nice weight to it. The cool thing is that its focusable, which allows you to keep the arrow shape it projects focused. It has a momentary on off switch which is a large white button, thats pressure activated, and features a large cool looking heatsink. The first thing I did when I got home was look for these on ebay, to see if I could make a profit. I only paid $2.50 for this thing, and it seems well worth it. I seen a few ranging from $25 shipped on up to 80$ shipped so not bad.
The second thing I bought was a 1964 Kodak Electric 8 camera. This ran me a whopping $3.75. Apparently its a 1964 Kodak Video Camera. Came it a case and nothing else. Should be functional, it had a set of 1960's eveready energizer transistor batteries in it, and a video tape still inside. It may have only been used once if at all, and there could be some 1960's video on it, but honestly I have no idea how to use it, play the tape, or do anything with it. ( & yes I am younger at 23 years old. )
So I spent like 7 bucks, and got some cool old toys. The original plan was profit, or strip down for optics and cool parts. What would you guys do with em?
