8x DVD-RW LD???

I had a 8x gave it 200 and poof, its an LED now. IT officialy went poof into an led at a little over 50 though but it still "works" to make a weak point. This was using DDLs homebuilt driver with a 7.4v lipo and adjustable resistors by screw terminals.

Cool! Any idea what current and voltage I should drive it at?

I used this in the kipkay flashlight hack when i was first starting out with lasers in general, and i built it just under a year ago, straight from AA batteries, still works like a charm!!

It's not near as powerful as its 16x counterpart, but it will still burn dark plastics, pop ballons, light matches, etc if focused down. I used the aixiz module with acrylic lens and like i said straight from aa batteries, no driver.
