I have a limited quantity of this special package.
A 500mw 808nm IR pen - looks exactly like the CNI gold and blacks, with keyswitch.
<1.0mRad 2mm diameter beam
6 months warranty. Power test report provided.
And goggles: OD4+ @ 800-1700nm. Look like wicked's lasershades (not the sports elite) but brownish.
Kinda (not quite) like this:

Total price $275. I have only 4 of these packages so get in fast!
I'll even throw in shipping. :D

damn you.  :)
Right when I start saving for a blue, you come along with this... rawr.
I hafta pass this time. But if you have any of these left in a few months...  :D

man are you serious, <1.0mRad 2mm diameter beam. so it can burn to like 2meters?

It's a diode. I think you'd find if you adjusted your red diode laser to minimal divergence you'll be able to achieve (calculated by pseudo's online thing) about <0.4mRad. But the beam has to be the same size as the lens aperture aka like 4mm.
However due to the wide use and mass production of powerful IR diodes, excellent beam specs can be created.

So in answer to your question, probably yes. I'd wager it could pop a balloon from 20 metres provided you could hold it steady enough. (Don't have the space to try though)

3 left!!

can we talk about a payment plan or do i have to try and borrow off friends(is the currency in aussie)

also does colour have any effect in the burning ability? eg: green balloon or red balloon

plz excuse my curiosity, but how can i tell if i am hitting somthing that i am aiming at and can it burn wood and/or steel wool at close range?

I can answer some of those questions...

Its hard to see what your hitting with an IR laser, thats why its much more dangerous than a more visible wavelength. Yes, 500mw of IR will burn wood and probably would do something to steel wool.

You can pretty much pop any colored balloon, 500mw of power is 500mw of power.

I'm sure bluefusion would prefer that he received full payment for the laser.

No it isnt. but the USD is so crap compared, at the moment, it's not much more.

Multiply by 1.071 so $275 becomes $295. (or within a few cents) But that includes shipping.

:(
I'd really rather get rid of these. I have to get rid of them eventually. What would sweeten the deal?
$275 AUD including shipping? (aussies only)

damn you bluefusion, you are like the devil, tempting me with your great bargins then when i can't afford them and wanna save up you reduce the price. Sorry, but maybe next time. This time i stick to my word(i promise i will buy the most powerful green(hint say in one year see if you can make avaliable 800mw ;D) and ir lasers(5w??? ;D) you have on your site when i have the money.)

cheers man( mean, tempting bugger)
