Are you sure that's not multiline? The refraction pattern says multiline to me.

That decond picture has quite a bit a blue in it. Shoot that beam into a cd for fun and see what happens.

Ya that's a multiline argon. But without refraction grating or a prism isn't 488 the most apparent wave length? There is a prism in one photo and the glass might break it up.

Yeah your 488 tends to dominate. The back of a CD will break out each color. Im sure ypu have one lying around.
