445nm Pin Connections (Almost Done!!!)

Hey I am about to put my driver and 445 nm diode together and I am not sure how I should connect the Negative battery terminal. On the pill there is a positive and Negative lead. But I also heard I can use the unused case pin to the negative battery terminal.

I am using the microboost and Jayrob ss 18650.

My question:
Is it better to use the case pin or the the negative lead on the pill.

Also Is 1A the max out of the boostdrive? <- Pretty sure, just verifying

I would use the pill negative connection when possible. It has the least path of resistance.
