I just finished my two c6 445 lasers today. The first one had a xjm140 diode connected to a mohgasm 1.8a driver powered by 2 cr123 "throwaways". The second laser was also in a c6 with the nicha (sp) diode connected to a v5 flex set at 1.1a powered by a single 16850 ultra fire.
Both have the same glass coated lenzes but the one with the flex drive seems so much brighter, wider beam and also cuts tape instantly.
What do you guys think, just got lucky with a efficient diode or the batteries just suck in the other laser? Maybe some rechargeable 3.7s for the 1.8 would make that beam shine?
Not bad for my first 2 builds, Thanks ahead of time - Matt-
Edit: I also just sodered the gnd on both boards to the pill , I didn't use the case pin , any thoughts or comments.
