I'm hoping someone can help. I've got a bunch of these hosts http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2110 and red LD's laying around so wanna start on a project tomorrow.
I think I only need to add a capacitor and resistor to the circuit but I'm not sure where/how to connect them or what one's I would need? What would be a good way to test it so I can work out the resistance? Maybe someone that's used this host before can give some insight.

I know with the Dorcy Jr in particular all you need is a resistor in that circuit, although Im not sure if this ones circuit could be integrated or whether it should be scrapped for a driver.

I want to try and keep this circuit in the host so it makes a clean contact to turn on. How is the resistor added? In series or parallel? This always confusing me as I don't really understand the "workings" of everything I guess :-/
