250mW 650nm - Standard Aixiz lens.

Hi guys I'm new here and working on my first laser build.

I have a few questions.

First, I have a 250mW 650nm laser module fitted in a standard Aixiz
laser housing. Will the heatsinking be good enough? And is the lens in
this housing sufficient? I see people using acrylic lenses and other
custom lenses. Why do people use these lenses? What are the
advantages?

Second, the driver I am using is this one: 650-600nm 200-250mW Laser Diode Driver Constant current | eBay

I assume it will be good for the diode but I'm asking for your experts opinions :).

Third, I'm trying to fit this into Cree v6 Aurora housing with an UltaFira
18650 2400mAh 3.7 battery (Both DX) . How do you assemble the Aixiz
module in the housing/reflector? I was thinking about drilling the hole in
the reflector to the same diameter als the Aixiz module and then glueing
it in. ( Loctite?)

Also should I put the battery in with the negative side to the switch?
This seems logical but it should work the other way round too right? As
long as I solder the correct lead to my driverboard.

And last but not least. How do I solder the driverboard into the circuit?

On one side I see 3 connectors ( GND, V+ and VCC) on the other side I
see only one connector with a small hole in it (R3) but if I flip the board
there is another connector next to the one with the hole.

Im guessing I should put in the battery (-) side facing the clicky so that
the housing is ground. Then i connect the the housing to GND on the
board and V+ to the possitive side of the battery. I have now clue how I
should connect the laser module though.

Hope you guys can help!

Thanks in advance,

The dutchman
