after receiving a couple of 5mW laserpointers, i ordered a 50mW and a 240mW laserpointer on ebay.
i wonder how they differ?

Sorry, but the 240mW fleabasers are crap. Just have a look around the forum.

I thought EBay banned all laser pointer sales over 5mW?

Green lasers of all powers are still being sold on Ebay's UK site - both from within UK and from Hong Kong!!

well, i got em...
the ''240mw'' one is much brighter than the other ones, although i don't think it really is 240mw
real output power.
learned my lesson, though a nice toy to experiment with

Wow, really? Thats news to me. Never really like buying from eBay anyway. Buying from normal companies are so much easier even if they do cost more. Most likely you get customer service, consistent company policy, consistent shipping prices, warrenty, and there are no chances of it being fake. ::)

be careful because i am almost positive that they do not have an IR filter and as we all know that's VERY unsafe! ;)
