If I understand you right, you're asking what amperage you should drive a 22x diode at. People have been running 20x diodes at 420ma with good heatsinking no problem, so I'd say that with a good heatsink you can go to 450ma or so. Although it depends on how long you want it to live also I read somewhere on here that somebody was running his at 500ma without problems.
If the info I gave is wrong, I hope the great laser gods of this forum can correct me. I'm relatively new to lasers so give me some slack.
