Hello, I am thinking about building a new blue laser that is 1w. I currently have a 2w blue laser. Are there any major changes that I will notice in the stuff they can do?

I assume you have a 445nm 2W laser atm. I would suggest you to instead go for a 462nm laser. The color is different from 445nm which in my opinion is way more fun than building another one of practically the same laser.

Do you know where I could buy a good quality 1w 462nm diode from? Also, would I need to buy a different driver than the driver needed for a 445nm diode?

I have a one and two watt 445. the beam on the 2 watt is just barely brighter
