16x Blu Ray Writers

I've found some blue ray writers which say they write at 16x speed like this one:

I've searched the forum and found no discussions about those 16x diodes. Are they more powerful than the 12x? Has anyone tested them out yet? It will be great to have even more powerful single mode 405nm lasers. With their great beam quality and high power they will become the ultimate distant burners, which i am so fond of :drool: .

If love 405nm, yes.

I'm interested in seeing how these perform, but of your going for burning power, I'd go for a 9mm 445, or one of those 4W red modules DTR carries.

Its all based on preference.

Now that u have brought these up, I'm sure someone will test them out soon!
