1064nm to 532nm

Hey guys,

Just a quick question about 532nm lasers. If I were to purchase a 1064nm diode like 1064nm 3W 100?M Aperture C Mount Laser Diode | eBay

and use one of those crystals to cut the cut the wavelength in half, what would the output be and would I need a focusing lens?

Your way will be very complicated. After simple focusing to the crystal you'll get very little 532 nm light.

(your question "would I need a focusing lens? " tells that you need to learn a lot before going into this field)

Easier is to get a 808 nm diode and then focus to the Nd:YVO+KTP small chip to get 532 nm.

On the same order/day get proper laser safety glasses!
