10440 Charging Current

AFAIK you can safely charge any LiIon at 0.8C or less. Some cells can take 1C safely as well. It's more important that the voltage NEVER exceed 4.199V.

C? as in coulombs? Do you mean coulombs/second? How is that different from Amperes?

Does that mean 500mA is a safe charging current for 10440 cells?

Hehe, no but that would be awesome if I converted to coulombs and used that unit.

C as in capacity in mAh. I didn't think it was an officially correct usage of C to describe cell capacity until I saw it on manufacturer data sheets.

For example in a 2800mAh 18650, 1C would be 2800mA. 0.5C would be 1400mA or 1.4A.
