i just wanted tO share somE info , i used a 1.2 ohm resistorr with 2 AAA bats and it came out with a steady 310ma at 2.7 volts`, and 205ma with a 2.7ohm resistor
 





This is with a GB diode?
Keep in mind if you just use a resistor, the current you get will be totally different with a different battery type, will drop as the battery discharges, and will change with temperature.
 
Even cells from the same lot could have different inital voltages and different discharge curves.

Exactly...I will never use this method again for that very reason. I like to run my diodes with current limiting that stays constant no matter what the input voltage to the driver is.
