This is, as he called it, the Violet Mini built for me by Thanhtung I've had it about a week now and I gotta say these violet Sharp diodes are pretty amazing! I don't know the exact output, but Tung told me he set the driver to 1000mA so I'm gonna guess it's doing over 1.5 watts. Needless to say it burns everything lolol I definitely watch the duty cycle though especially with the driver being set a little high. Actually I'm not sure how bad/good 1000mA is for these diodes when the host gets warm, I give it a rest & fingers crossed I get a good life. Divergence is way better than I thought it would be. I've read some comments on here assuming divergence would be terrible because the diode is multi mode but I'm gonna disagree now that I know first hand. Of course my 600mW single mode violet laser has better divergence than my new violet mini, but the mini seems to diverge at only half the rate of my M140 multi mode diode build. It's still so weird seeing a line instead of a dot on a 405 beam at a distance (this is my first multi mode purple laser). I thought g7's were the newest lens still and Tung goes "want a g8?" so I got to see how amazing those are too they even get rid of bat wings which blew my mind a little. I'm using Efest 10440 cells (runs on one; case negative) and get superb battery life. This is definitely a quality build from a very trustworthy member and I recommend doing business with Thanhtung!! I chose between this and the 405nm 500mW Sanwu pocket and haven't looked back yet. Sacrifice a lil duty cycle time for 3x the power and a pocket clip? I'll take it Thank you again so much Thanhtung!! I love this host and couldn't believe you had one with a violet diode in already. I've posted on here looking for a laser like this for literally years. Shout-out to Sharp too cuz I have the WORST luck with violet diodes and it's my favorite practical wavelength so they hit my spot when making such a powerful multi mode one!!! Thanks for reading, all ☺ Happy Memorial Day!!!
