Thanks for the info! Dang, I've only built one higher power red. Used a DTR Nano. Worked well but those Nanos get pretty toasty. And are tough to cram into an S2+. Been mostly building single li-ion powered blue lasers. So, I'm glad some old led boost drivers can be put to use. Haven't picked...

Thank you sir! I am now! I had a few left over from some other builds. But didn't know I could repurpose the driver's safely. I figured it wouldn't supply a clean current. Got a NUBM08 that could be a candidate if my tests look good.

Really cool build! I've scoured the web for some info on that exact shunt mod with no such luck. If you had any info to share. You'd be doing a newbie a great favor! :D
