Ok, this is good. This is the first time I used 18650s, didn't really know what I was looking for.
These are what I was using. I'll look into some new ones. Any links to where I might find these better sanyo batteries? I find a lot of results but the battery shown is a completely...
Noise seems to have stopped after charging the battery again, maybe I'm just going crazy. Used the laser quite a bit today, kept it on for pretty long. I'd say it's working properly.
Battery is an ultrafire 3.7v 3800mah 18650
Not sure what you call them, but they are the silicon cap over the tailcap switch for a lot of hosts. I have the C6 in mind specifically. I know some people use them as lense caps as well. I'm trying to find someplace to buy different colors of these, seems like they should exist with all the...
Alright guys, driver went out to survival lasers, tested, was working fine there, sent it back to me, great service, thanks again. Got a new diode in. Found a problem with my battery charger... not sure if that was at all related, but got a new charger. Put it all together with freshly charged...
I don't have a test load, I was going to build one today, but stuff came up. Hopefully tomorrow. I was going to go off this diagram, is this correct for my purposes?
I wouldn't call it second hand, guy I traded with was my brother, lives in the same house, etc etc. He wanted it because he was hoping it would thread right into a host he had, it didn't, so I traded him for another driver I had. Basically I saw it from the point it came out of the box to the...
It was all soldered together. Afterwords I checked the connections, they look solid to me. I contacted survival laser, he said to send the driver back and he'll check it out and replace it if needed, and I guess I'll be ordering another LPC-826. If figures when I have a lot of spare parts and...
It's one of these.
DIY 660nm Driver & Pill Module
Got it in a trade with some other parts. However, that is the driver survival lasers uses for their lpc-826 laser.... so I would assume it should be the correct amperage. It has 516 written right on it... so I assume they must test them...
So I got a LPC-826... hooked it up with 520ma. Lit up for about 7-8 seconds, then I heard a kind of squeal sound coming from my driver, turned it off. Then when I clicked it back on the laser was dimmed down to just about nothing. I believe the diode is dead at this point, it turns on but is...
Yeah, that's the problem I was trying to get away from. One of those is like having a tactical light on your pistol, plus it's probably even longer than a light. I'm hoping to get my sight down pretty small eventually. Also trying to figure out if it would be better with 2 AAAs or a 1 CR123...
Well, this one is basically a rail riser I bought and did a little machining to, bolted to a piece of delrin with a hole bored through it for the laser module, with a battery pack bolted to the bottom of that... pretty simple. The only thing that would take a bit of time is the round piece...
The problem you're going to find moving up to a better laser are the batteries. Red lasers sights usually run off little button cells. Those probably aren't going to drive a laser of any significant power. Also, if you want a visible beam, you're probably going to be looking at a green laser...
What's the output of the 12x blueray and what kind of voltage/current do you put through it for that? Trying to decide what laser I'd like to build next.
Got the glasses today. Pretty impressed with them. The glasses are actually made by noir laser. NoIR LaserShields: Laser safety goggles, laser safety glasses and laser protective windows direct from the manufacturer. Made in the USA amd CE-certifed for the world of laser applications. Which...
The hosts I have are c6 aurora's. The ones I have built are basically just copies of the survival lasers line up. Putting the focus ring on the end of the module and leaving it stick out of the heatsink a bit is a good idea, if it fits. However, I'd still like to make one that focuses. I've seen...
So I've built a 445 and a 660 and I made them both with the same host. I'd like to now make a 200mw green in the same type of host... So I'm wondering if they make a quality 200mw module that focuses with a aixiz style lense, basically so I can make all my lasers look the same. As it stands I...
This is the 30mw green laser I made for my gun. This is version 1... I'm working on version 2 which will be much more refined. As you can see this one is very large... but it's mostly battery. AAA batteries were the smallest thing I could find to drive the laser. The next version is going to be...
Yeah, that first set is kind of confusing... Either way, I'll get the second set.
They do say:
NOVA Shields laser safety eyewear is CE-certified and meets or exceeds US and international safety standards and optical standards, including laser standards ANSI Z136.1-.3 (US), CSA Z386 (Canada)...
