DIY collimator for 16W IR laser

Thank you. This was helpful I will get a focusable one and googles. FPV is nice, but googles will be easier to use. I will do some more research this weekend. I was also wondering If I decided to pull off the fiber cable, will I break the laser? I don't want to hurt it and never tried. And...

DIY collimator for 16W IR laser

After opening this thread many people cautioned me that my IR flashligth project could become environmental hazard to myself and others if I were not careful. DIY collimator for 16W IR laser

Dude, I am no DR. Evil and I don't have phallic shaped rocket like Jeff Bezos does :D Also my laser is not fully invisible. It is 800nm so, it is still dimly visible with a naked eye.

DIY collimator for 16W IR laser

I totally share your sentiment and I am thankful that you guys care enough to warn the newbie. I understand how dangerous collimated IR lasers can be but I am being very careful. I power the laser in my basement, and use camera to look through my FPV googles. So there is no risk to anyone.

DIY collimator for 16W IR laser

I want to replicate Styropyro’s project that he showcased in his video “100% Invisible IR death ray laser!”. I already purchased 16W...
