My problems were batteries! Solved! I hope.
So, I have a few Wicked Lasers Spyder III lasers. The newer Arctic (it has continuously variable output and standby), the Krypton as well as the 473nm would cut off after a few seconds. I tried freshly charged batteries, different tail caps, newer batteries, to no avail. The batteries I had were...- jimk75
