new here, would love some helpful advice on a choice of battery to power a 900mW 405nm BDR-209 Blu-Ray Copper Laser Module W/Boost Driver & G-2 Glass Lens

thank you :) .. ive got the data sheets the same one you have link.. noobish i know but not sure of the + & - on the diode, cant work it out from the sheet,i can see the one not in use.. frst time playing with open can diodes.

I have a Mitsubishi ML101U29-25 400mW 5.6mm 660nm Red Laser.
is it possible to use a battery straight to the laser diode to max out the diode to 400mW with out using the driver. what kind of battery would be needed to get max output.
