It's not. If it's what I think it is, it's also very important that the compound is an electrical insulator. Which somewhat limits its effectiveness as a thermal conductor.

You may have missed my point. The only reason I had to make the wire heatsink was because this was designed to be temporary (yet sturdy enough to never be a problem). Potting it would preclude this and not to mention waste a ton of epoxy. Theres almost no scenario short of air being conductive...

Welcome, and don't expect that 532 module to be 200mw, should do 100-125mw, which is still great for the price. I started with a similar one (rated 200mw), too, and have owned several. They are a lot of fun.
