What do you mean? If a LD spec says 1A@25c nominal with a 5,000hr life it should run for that long continued under those conditions. I'm guessing these LD's are being overdriven but with proper cooling they should last 50% their life at least.
I am planning on picking up a 445nm M140 Diode In Copper Module With Leads & 405-G-2 Glass Lens from dtr-lpf and wondering what its maximum current limits are.
I plan on press fitting the module in a solid copper heatsink (from an old computer server) and having a pc fan blowing across the...
Anybody know which company makes the body for this green laser pointer? I would like to buy a pressure switch for it on my telescope.
110mm long, 21mm dia, 15mm orange button.
I would like to build my own laser cutter but am not sure how powerful I will be forced to go. I see fancy modules like this one:
Industrial 808nm 3000mw Infrared Focusable Laser Diode Module Cutter w/TTL
And I know if you pulse the diode you can get more out of it but I do not know how much...
I'm not using the transparency and expose via UV method any more. I want to use a laser and a spinning mirror in sync so I move a sled over one line, modulate the laser and via the mirror project one whole line like a laser printer on the sensitized PCB. Then move to the next line and do the...
I have no clue what kind of W/cm^2 I will need. The kit I use is HERE and the UV source is HERE and it is a 15W 18" tube.
I guess a 18" 15W tube is around 330mW/cm? Totally just guessing there. It takes 20min to expose a board with that tube though and I would like to make a laser based...
I am in the market for a 405nm laser to expose photo resist. I do know that these modules die if given a voltage spike and want constant clean current.
My question is which is better: A LM315 current regulator with a transistor on/off switch on the battery or a module with a TTL port built in...
Would a simple 5mW module really be enough? I suspected 1W was overkill but not quite by that margin...
I was reading around the forum and found a user that has a module store HERE
I was looking at a the 445nm M140 Diode In Copper Module With Leads
& Three Element Glass Lens for $60.
I know...
So I am working on my first laser project and have been looking on eBay and googling a LOT as I know very little about lasers I admit.
My project is a PCB exposing machine. I recently took apart a laser printer and discovered how the octagon mirror and sycnonized laser can create one "scan...
