lpc-826 is a very good and powerfull diode in my opinion. I think there is not duty cycle here, i have left the diode 2 minutes and it does increase not even 1 degree celcious. I like it because i made it from spare parts as you told.

its very small difference,only 26 mW from rising 40 mA ,and the biggest cost is the reducing of the lifetime diode. It works perfect now i don't think of being worth it. I am in consideration of buying m140 diode that is 2 watt . What do you thing of it guys???

mmmm so i 'll let it at 500 mA, it's enough for this diode. I wish i had a M140 i'll a make a great project but it's veeeery expensive!

tnx friends You mean we can drive lpc826 with 550mA without to destroy it?The problem as you can see is not the heat,the problem is how much current can the same diode to hold out.

thanks you may be right,however i couldn't drive the diode with lm317 more than 300 mAh,i don't know why, with lm1084 things are much better. Nice post this with the battery.I know that Chinese are charlatans but not so much!!!Somebody told that this white powder is coca llloooolllll.:drool:
