Mine came from a guy that bought a pallet load of Argon lasers. I think this one was only tested and never made into service. It's sitting on its own shelf in my office so I have no reason not to fire it up anytime. It does 6 lines just off idle.

I can't remember the last time I fired mine up:thinking: The tube only has about 50-60 hours on it and puts out 166mW at full tilt.

Sorry Mike I should have been more clear. Mine starts every time on the first click. It's birthday is 7-31-03 and the tube only has 50 or so hours on it. I know it sat for a long time before I bought it but, she works great @ 160+Mw with 6 lines at full pop.

I need to run mine. The last time was 7-4-16. My JDS only has 50 or 60 hours on it.

Ther wasn't a diode when Metrologic build the pointer. I bought their "Build a Laser kit" back in 88' a red 1/2Mw and still have it today. The green laser pointer was around 800-900 bucks at the time I bought my kit. I can posts some pictures later if you want.
