If its 5mw or above I would always use caution and wear goggles. Usually anywhere between 50-100mw is where burning happens. Usually in any wavelength.

I think this guy is trolling just to get his sh!ts and kicks. I'd just ignore and live & let live.

If its a super cheap laser, you might have damaged it by reversing the batteries. I had a 50mw red that I did that to and boom, no worky. Try what was said above, new batteries and see if that fixes the problem.

1000mw sounds like a lot for the listed price. Would not trust.
