I was considering buying that red laser, myself. The host is actually pretty sweet, and the price is awesome. The only issues I had with my Rayfoss greenie were a slightly off-center beam (crystal) and some thread alignment issues on the cap, which I corrected with some good-old American...
One of my professor-friends has a 1W 445nm, so I know the capabilities and around what they can do. I personally only have a 275mW greenie that peaks around 315, so comparing it to the new blue one I'll be getting won't make for an excellent review. I'll probably just compare beams and points...
So, it's not ready until the 17th... I'm definitely ordering it. Anyone else? I'll also do a review of it when I get it. I won't be able to get a power reading for it, but I do provide as much info and detail as possible.
I'm going to move it to the appropriate forum section. The focus ring is easy to adjust, and slightly loose. The way the focus works is tight and smooth, but the focus ring itself moves rather easily.
Yes, this is the first review here for this laser.
I must say, for nightpointing...
The dot is very green through those goggles. Do I need to be concerned with IR light, as well as the 532? I hope someone can point me in the direction of glasses appropriate for both these wavelengths.
... Could I simply put IR filtering lenses in front of my greenie lenses?
It'll look DIYed...
Hey, forum. This is my first review here, and also my 50th post! :yh:
If I leave anything out, please let me know. I like detailed reviews, and aim to write one. Also, I apologize in advance for the so-so picture quality. I have a Samsung Seek, and it's cool for the touchscreen, but shot for...
Re: i need another URGENT help about choosing rayfoss handheld.i must reply her
I just took host and beam shots of the FBG a half hour ago. I'll make a photobucket account to upload them here in a review. Divergence will have to wait for tomorrow, I apologize. This may sound funny, but how...
I just realized I've had a Dorcy flashlight, almost this exact size, different style, for years...
Guess what won't be a flashlight for much longer. :eg:
Damn, mine doesn't even peak at your stable output... How much did you pay though? Did you buy a 300mW older brother version? I paid for the 200mW version. With an (untested) average of 275. When I get my new safety key shipped in the mail I'll send it to a LPF member with a Laserbee to test it...
Yeah, I just saw somebody call it a safety key. I guess that's the more accepted term than "plug-ring-thingy". :p
I will do the review when I get my SAFETY KEY in the mail, and have access to a camera. I'll post it in the green laser forum section.
And I never got an answer from anyone about...
I'm 18, and I actually had to take my laser away from my friend the other day. He was reflecting it precariously close to people's eyes, and just being reckless. It's >200mW and I had to actually explain why that's so much more epic than a pointer, and that it can BLIND you. :tsk:
He's much...
