Sorry if this is in a bad section but i want as many people to see as possible. It is RKCSTR, not RCKSTR. Just getting it out there it must be kinda annoying for him for even experienced members of the forum not realizing. Jex. :gun:

300mW 808nm Laser diodes on eBay for $4.49 free shipping!

I like how you got it right this time (Inside joke). Also im sorry but no one has answered the main question yet. Dilda Host + Dilda Driver + 808nm Diode = Fully functioning IR laser?

300mW 808nm Laser diodes on eBay for $4.49 free shipping!

What Morgan said..... And all the dilda drivers Ive got are the same (2) even though one of the dildas was the newer one (Different focus head thread diameter). And its just your standard dilda host I really hate to say this but i find that really ironic All i need to know is 6vDC passing...

300mW 808nm Laser diodes on eBay for $4.49 free shipping!

Indeed i did lol, ive found a seller that ships to the uk and ordered one. But if i want to drive this at 320 mA is it as simple as pressing it into an old dilda host and soldering the driver on, will it work with the 2xCR2 host?

300mW 808nm Laser diodes on eBay for $4.49 free shipping!

Lol ive always wanted to set a wavelength as a current but unfortunately thats not possible. So would you recommend around 400mA for this diode, i have a few dilda drivers lying around that drive at 320mA so i suppose they would be suitable but what about the voltage? Thanks for the advice...

    Questions about DT-0811

Right ive managed to get it out but now i wanna use it, i got 2 dilda hosts and ive also got a dx 80mW blu ray that probably outputs about 30mW, (dosent burn at all) and i wanna swap diodes, but i can figure out how to open it up to access the driver, it is SKU:33771DealExtreme: $45.16 80mW...

    Questions about DT-0811

Mate i have searched and noticed that people are saying that its sometimes a higher wavelength (407-410nm) thats why i was asking, and also the 1st one is the one i need most, and thanks for the other answers.

    Questions about DT-0811

I recently purchased what was clearly advertised as a 'PHR-803T' sled on eBay for £11 after shipping, after extracting the diode realised i had a DT-0811, i was wondering if anyone could provide some answers to my questions if you have the time. 1. How can i get the annoying heatsink off...

Can i use a Dilda driver to power a PHR diode?

Yea i understand that once i can get a driver at 100mA then it should work but will the host fit for 2xCR2 3.0v rechargeables be sufficient or too much voltage, i have a dx 80mW BR that takes 2xCR2 but i want to be sure as its my first build and ive just got the diode today. EDIT: also will the...
