Yeah and its my nightmare. Over this summer i slowed down on the whole project and started some new ones. In that short hiatus Ive seemed to forget a few things. I now have decided to make a more simpler driver so i can finally have some fun.

the output of the 555 is always going to be slightly lower so you might have to run the 555 at about 8 or 7 volts im thinking? a good way to check would be to build it then get a meter and vary the power to the 555. i think the operating voltage is something like 5-18 volts but im just talking...

if i remember right they wanted to draw an amp as is but i had them limited down to about a 1/2 of an amp with standard frequency. with audio they draw just about the same and the amplifier ic's can handle it with no problem.
