Universities typically have chemicals of that nature. Thorium nitrate, uranyl acetate etc. Not sure how you would go about actually getting someone to get you some though without getting into some sort of federal trouble.

An important difference though between a 405nm laser and a uv flashlight is the usually lower wavelength of the flashlight and that they pretty much have no duty cycle of any kind.

I have a question about this also but its for between heatsink and the host body. Would arctic silver 5 thermal compound appreciably increase the duty cycle of a laser or would it be a waste of money for only a small increase?
