Yeah I had a 22x diode from daedallasers.com and my driver was messed up and it was made wrong so it was still giving all the current of my 2 AA's so when I hooked up the power and turned it on and where it shined on my hand (w/out lens) it got really warm The diode died in about 2 seconds

What is the duty cycle on that? Also, is 310mA too much? What about 300mA? What mA will get me to 500mW (.5W) using the 405-G-1 lens? :drool:
