You would have an advantage, you'd have them for sale  Anytime I've went to get a boost driver they were gone and no info on when they'd be back or response. I haven't bought a whole lot from you but I know I can with no problems and you keep the community informed if you think there...
Definitely. I was going to get back into doing some projects and.......no microboost drivers. Anywhere. An alternative driver needs to be available, might even help. Competition and all. :D
You know so much, enlighten us Grandmaster. Cause you know it all and probably invented lasers. :D Unless you're just being an ass, as usual. ;) They looked a little thicker to me too, even for a macro.
Are these here stateside anywhere yet?
Use the current you will be running the laser with. I'm not sure it will change but I know that you should use the same input voltage and be sure it is enough to run the diode and driver. I've used 7.5 v and it was fine.
Definitely get some glasses, that's a dangerous amount to mess with without any protection. I'm glad you got it going though. I'm wondering how much these 12x's can be pushed and if they are that much more powerful than an 8x, noticeable difference between the beam and all. An 8x is fine...
Not necessarily. I've built a few without using a test load and had no problems with them. It's safer to use a test load, definitely, but it isn't a "have-to" step. It's in the instructions for the new version of rkcstr drivers that you CAN set them this way. So unless there is an actual...
You're still douchey as ever, eh? Report back to us though, cause I'm sure it will be different for you . I mean we've got six people sayin it's happens but that don't mean anything, lies I bet. Troll on though. I'm postitive you'll have something else stupid to say. ;)
You may need a driver that can handle that much current safely. That's a big step up from a PHR. I'd ask Daguin, Jayrob, IgorT, or a few others. They make their own drivers sometimes and are probably working on similar projects right now. I'm dying to get one myself. :D
I got a few from him, they are 3.6 v on the label but over 4 v actual. If you need some more I have a few that I will not be using. You can have them for the shipping cost, whatever it is if you want em. The guy on ebay ships really fast, I always got mine within two days if not the next day.
It can take up to a month, depends on where it comes from. I've had that happen a few times and it's really aggravating. H.K. Post is usually 7-14 days, business days. If you can spare the extra cash, E.M.S. is always the way to go. Usually around 4-5 days at the most, rarely over that...
I got the Radio Shack one too, those tips do eat away fast on those. One way to get a tiny solder point though I guess, worked for me :D Temp controlled and a little higher priced, or a good soldering station are the best it seems. You get what you pay for. Simple soldering though and...
When you start basic, I was in the Army so I'm sure it's about the same policy, you can't have electronics period till you graduate basic. Unless it's changed recently in the past four years, outside your electronics and some field classes, welcome to the stone age my friend. I remember not...
@Daguin- a Cree C3 "Sliver" has everything Diesel is looking for, GITD o-rings on the front around the lens and middle and back parts, pretty much water-proof if you build it that way retaining the glass. Kendall @ HTD had the host and my gt some more soon. Gotta use a Flex-drive for such a tiny...
Oh I've been here for around two- three months and I can understand being frustrated answering things so much. Just people trolling new people, just for the hell of it I guess, just rubs me raw. I've read and learned A LOT from your stuff so if I ever had a question I wouldn't hesitate to...
