    LaserGlow 593.4nm 250$ OBO eBay.

Thanx Jeff, I'll check on it. At present, a rubber band provides enuf tension for reliable laser operation. I've read that these yellow DPSS lasers have a reputation for ticklish, uneven operation, though mine has been quite steady, with a golden sunny yellow hue that I find to be the most...

    LaserGlow 593.4nm 250$ OBO eBay.

Any ideas regarding how a loose side key interlock can be firmed up on a used laser like this one that I bought some while back on lpf?

The REAL Kryton GB round #3. Taking payments now.

Re: The REAL Kryton GB round #3 Interesting thermal design problem--getting a distribution of holes for heat transfer to air, while also having enough solid metal to transfer heat radially out to all of the holes. Best of luck in all this!

    XJ-A150 for $1173?

The A150 diodes surely aren't less powerful than A140 diodes. Seems worth some kind of gamble, as the A150 projectors look to be disappearing before they really show up. Does anybody know of other sources for such diodes at anywhere close to this price?

    UPDATE -- 445nm Pen Laser -- UPDATE

Very fine build! I like it a lot! Various power level 445s being available seems preferable to me, so smaller pen builds as well as real barn burners are desired, esp. before multi-level powers are more easily put into a single barn burner 445. BTW, you mentioned classes--do you mind saying...

    FS: 90mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser $160

Re: FS: 70mW+ 405nm Blue-Violet Burning "BR"Laser Shram0, it's good to see that your v3.1 can have further increments in capabilities beyond the many, many features of the v3.0! 8-) However, my v3.0 is already such a gorgeous darling I want to have babies with it! ::)

    Special Relativity - Time Dialation

Maybe time to mention [ch268]erenkov radiation (also spelled Cerenkov or Cherenkov) is electromagnetic radiation emitted when a charged particle (such as a proton) passes through an insulator at a speed greater than the speed of light in that medium. The characteristic "blue glow" of nuclear...

Questions about United Nuclear Neodymium magnets

Re: Questions about United Nuclear Neodymium magne This note is sorta OT, as it's more about small magnets than large ones: There are plenty of places online detailing magnetic levitation of single small magnets or flakes of strongly diamagnetic graphite. However, this may be the first online...

    LED's for Throwies

A magnet strong enough to overcome total throwie inertia in orienting the throwie to allow the magnet to attach to a metal target in the brief time allowed will likely also be strong enough to attach through a few layers of tape. My comment concerned the possibility that a smaller magnet glued...

    LED's for Throwies

Even a very small neo magnet will stick like a leech when in direct contact with iron, so I just wondered if a smaller (cheaper :)) magnet might suffice if it were attached to a throwie by a short string--so it would have a lot less effective inertia as it seeks out an attracting magnetic target...

this cant be right!! help lol

There is no particular problem with a negative zero; it has the same location on the real axis as a positive zero. :)However, in engineering computation generally, notably in the IEEE 754 floating point standard (that you computer adheres to :-?), not only allows--but actually demands tracking...
