That's an awesome price for 144 mW... I'd buy it but I'm not in the mood to wait a month to get it. Also I'm sure the pens of higher power are very inconsistent in power and not to mention the quality.

I think you should definitely choose single battery. I think it will cause problems not just the people trying to get it to work but for you, too. Not to mention the many complaints you could get if its done with dual batteries, Also I think...
Yeah, I didnt take out the plastic part.. I soldered where the resistor used to be on the original PCB. and trimmed the pcb to about half so the aixiz would fit somewhat.. I then "wrapped" the excess wire around the pcb. The way you did it was a better way. Thats a good idea the way you used the...

neither of the two are bad. If you use a 9v, the run time or how long you you can use the laser untill you need to change batteries will be shorter than if you were to use 5aa's.
Edit: you beat me ;)

The dot of my dx30 romisen is about the same as the 200mw red laser I have. However, the beam is much more visible on my green laser.... The green laser is more fun to play around with at night but I like my red laser for messing around during the day, lots of fun to burn stuff. :)
