Need a favor from someone in the UK (ebay item)

Hello, I need a favor from someone in the forum that lives in the UK and wants to buy ebay stuff for me. I'll probably need this item very (very) soon: Sony Viao Pcg-4d1m Complete Screen And Surround + cable en venta en eBay.es (finaliza el 15-abr-11 19:53:28 H.Esp) But the guy doesn't ship to...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Great it worked! But don't forget to make some startup transient analysis! You don't want to stress your diodes with startup current spikes!. The capacitor filters the Vfb, but at the expense of a likely startup current spike because the capacitor needs to be charged to Vfb and that takes time.

    Best 18650 Charger

I use a homemade charger using an integrated circuit from TI. It implements proper charging algorithms (CC/CV), detects failure conditions and much more, and cuts off at a user programable current and it charges at up to 1.1A. It's a single 4x3x1mm IC, a USB connector and some passives. For...

My own custom 445nm build! Driven at 1A!

Well, after months waiting my host to come from dealextreme, IMMA NOW FIRING MAH 445nm LAZOR! I'm using this host: DealExtreme: $12.50 SacredFire NF-014 Cree Q2-WC 120-Lumen LED Flashlight (1*18650/2*CR123A) Which I personally love. I designed a custom heatsink module for that host, and found a...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

That's impossible, a series capacitor blocks the direct current, only letting alternate current to pass through. It's very hard to tell how lava does it without having an actual lavadrive in our hands. But the capacitor isn't in series with the FB input, that's for sure. To jib: I told you I...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Oh, forgot, it's likely a short-circuit under the coil. Those XFL4020's come with a ton of solder in their pads and if you put too much paste, it forms a ball under the coil and shorts it. The solder they have is also pretty fluid for some reason, and the coil can't stop moving under the hot air...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

It's been a long time, I know, but huh... I'm fried with work and more work... Yesterday I managed to test your TPS63000 drivers. Charging it with a 3V load and giving 4.1volts to it, it had a 100mV voltage ripple... but almost 200mA current ripple. With a 5V load, the results were .5Amps of...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Tying the low side and tap together would be OK too. What you want is a voltage divider with a fixed value low resistor to limit the max current. The value of that resistors depends on the value of the sense resistor. For example, let's say you want to make an adjustable driver from 400mA to...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Hmm the pot's value should be calculated considering both INA193 output impedance and TPS63000's feedback input impedance. What experience and logic tells me is that TPS63000's FB input would be the gate of a MOS transistor, so that impedance should be in the tens of Mohms range, and that...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Okay dudes, my driver doesn't work anymore. I've screwed it... but I think it's not beyond repair. It was getting a bit hotter than it should, I hadn't noticed it because it dissipates heat so fast that it went from untouchable to warm in a matter of seconds, so when I touched it after testing...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Sure I will, if it works. This is how the PCB looks: That's totally homemade, still needs drilling. I'm gonna drill it and stuff it later. Hope everything works fine and I can get it working before I have to start studying... It's made bigger than needed on pourpose, to have more heatsinking...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Well I myself have succesfully reflown some 1x1mm 4 pin BGA differential amplifiers. I spreaded a little bit of soldering paste so it would melt and act as a thermal bridge between pads and balls, and it went fine. Dunno how that method would work for higher pin count BGA's... My reflow station...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

I was thinking about coating a polyethylene sheet with UV curable soldermask (the same I use for soldermasking PCB's), insolating and then etching the uncovered plastic with acetone or using heat. I have to find some poliethilene sheet thick enough to be used as stencil and try it. Never heard...

Sunon 20mm 5V fans, small heatsinks and 7mm peltiers

How much for 5 peltiers shipped to spain? I can't see how much peltiers are in the post.

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

I own this one: Divineo.cn - Product Information and i'm really impressed on how well it works, and it's also fairly high quality. I don't have a preheat station as most PCB's I make are small enough to be preheated with the own station. But now i'm planning on buying a small kitchen oven as I'm...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

Congrats! definitely the last board looks much more like what manufacturers recommend in their datasheets! Really professional again and much more thermally enhaced. BTW DON'T use a non-stick pan as reflowing technique. Its thermally stressfull for the components as they don't get uniformly...

    Planning DIY TPS63000 based driver

No, it's not a problem about current, li-ions can give 2 or 3 amps without effort, even CR123's , it's probably a problem about the diode. It's TERRIBLY underrrated. It should be at least 2A continuous. I don't understand why you add that input diode, i hadn't seen if before. If it's for...

    Selling Argon laser - £70!

How much does it weight and how much shipping to spain would be? BTW if you're in london or near a ryanair operated airport, a flight to the UK could be cheaper than shipping. I might be interested if shipping is low enough. As a birthday present for myself.
