A few months ago I traded a non working laser and some cash with Rob. When it was sent it was well packed but somehow (probably while it was in the USPS) hands got broken. I had tried to have it fixed to little avail and Rob agreed to send me another one and said that I can send back the one...
Don't know you that well, but hopefully i can send some money for you tomorrow. I hate to see stuff like this happen to people :( I hope things turn around for you and your family.
Hi all's. I was sitting here looking around my room and realized that i have way too much stuff and way to few lasers. None working right now to be exact. I had a blu-ray one a while ago, but it died on me a while back and im going though some withdrawal. One of the things i was thinking about...
not on the part that i can see.... perhaps on the bottom. I think i can chalk this one up to just a diode failure for whatever reason... atleast from what jay thinks from the way i described the issue to him. Thankfully he doesn't think i blew the driver so this might not get too expensive lol...
Nope bats have a full or damn near full charge on them... if they died in the probably 10 total mins it was on ive got more problems that i thought i did lol
Well i promised an update after i got home, and got busy, and here i am so here we go lol.
Took the laser apart, looked it over. Didn't look like anything was broken. Put it back together and got a brief flicker of light from the diode, and then splat... no light any more. Also it doesn't seem...
that, as of yet i cant answer... i just tossed it in my cheep harbor freight battery tester and it ended up at the top of the green area on it. ill have to look at it with my meter when i get home. Im not positive but i think the positive batery contact was a tad bit warm when i opened it up...
Well i bought a kit from jay, which was probably one of the best kits ive ever worked with for anything. All i had to do was solder the 2 wires from the diode to the ones from the driver, which i think i managed to screw up :(. It was working fine for a little while after i managed to figure...
Here's some more photos of the kit :)

Don't know if its worth much but there will be more in there once the build is done
Re: CNI GB 150-175 mW CNI Pens $250
How long do you expect this to sit? Im going to get more hrs at work here hopefully soon so i might be able to pull some money together for one.
My kit got in yesterday!! will be posting pictures as soon as i get my diode and housing... i hope it doesn't take the full 5 days. its coming from AL and is going to PA so idk lol. post office around here is slow as heck lol :)
Re: just know I appreciate the level of 'quality'
wow.... i must see that forum lol :). I havent gotten a good laugh today, except that one time... that was pretty funny lol
ARGGGGGG!!!!! I JUST BOUGHT MINE AND THERES GOING TO BE SOMETHING NEW ADDED *begins to turn into hulk but deflates*.
Any way lol thanks for getting it out so fast... i really cant wait to get the diode and stuff put together so i can have a laser again :)
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Ill post some pics...
To be totally honest i dont know, and to be honest again, i don't really care lol. He did say something like since he had a 35mW green, he would like to have a red at the same power..
Well i was talking to my science teacher today and now, for some reason, he needs an ~35mW red laser. I talked to jayrob and from him its looking to be about 190$. was wondering if there were any mass produced lasers like this out and about, or am i going to need to get a custom like the one...
Ok i talked to my science teacher who is my adviser and we came up with an idea along the lines of the thermal effects of highpowered laser light on objects, thanks for the idea. the thing is now is getting a hold of a laser to use :). i was thinking of asking someone like nova to see if they...
