Thank you for the first thread, was exactly the same the situation i was stuck in and hardware, but I think i'll follow your route and try the Sony's...besides thats twice the amount of diodes for the amount of money i wasted :)

Re: potential glasses GB? **12 interest so far!** I would be insterested in a GB for goggles. There a pair that protects against both red and bluray? or would i have to buy 2 seperate pairs?

haha, I can see that happening already. Although it seems like most of the components, at least for the do-it-yourself dvd laser are relatively cheap; 12 dollars for a driver, 4 for the enclosure for the diode, its just the buyin in bulk that's gonna get me (know i'm gonna mess up eventually)...
