Just did some finishing touches on this 1w 445. Go to put the battery in, and have it pointed at a surface a couple hundred feet away. No dot when I screw in the battery cap, so I figure it's off. But the switch was not off, there was a faulty connection between the anode and hot battery...

An idea I had...Not a laser/physics expert by any means, so bear with me. Say you have three diodes..Red, green, and blue. If you put each on it's own driver with a externally mounted current control knob...You could theoretically have control over the beam colour. Kinda like this. .. Not sure...
