    Dead 445nm laser

Nope, not at all. RMA then:whistle:

    Dead 445nm laser

I tried my laser today just to see, and I see a very very dim blue light which a haven't noticed before. Current drawed is 1.4mA. I guess this doesn't change anything..?

    Dead 445nm laser

Yeah ok, seems like my only option now, thanks for the help :)

    Dead 445nm laser

Ehm... what is RMA? You mean return? :P

    Dead 445nm laser

It's all in chinese:confused: But it says "ICR 123A", so i guess it's like this one: (except that it's a chinese brand)

    Dead 445nm laser

By "batteries work" I meant that I measured them to 3.6-3.7V each which is correct. The battery charger refuse to charge them higher anyway... So I guess there ain't anything to do but send it back:undecided:

    Dead 445nm laser

I received my 445nm 1W handheld from o-like yesterday and can't get it to work. Batteries work, switch work, and I got the polarity right ("+" towards the end/switch). I tried to measure current, but there is 0A. I've been in contact with Susie, and I can send it back to get a new one, but...

    O-like 1W 445nm

Not suprisingly, O-like have now released their own 1W 445nm handheld laser. It looks like the one Rayfoss is selling, but it's cheaper:) From the description: Wavelength:445nm output power :700mW size :Φ24mm×190mm powered by 2pcs 3.7V 16340 batteries Good finish Click on-off button

    RAYFOSS 1W 445nm

Seems like they fixed the describtion now! - 650mA fixed to 1200mA - Duty circle: 30 seconds on, 5 seconds off ! - Focusable Think I'll order one ^^

    Dirver - only 405nm?

Thanks for the answer, but I still don't get why it wouldn't work for a 532/650nm laser?

    Dirver - only 405nm?

Hi, I was looking at this item at O-like. Why does it say "405nm driver, 250mW"? Can't I use this with other wavelengths, and why is that? thanks :)

    Why a driver?

Thanks, I've read the "build your laser" threads now, really helpful :) Haha, you're right... Well, I've had red, green and blu-ray handheld lasers a while now, but it's now recently that I've started reading of how lasers really works. ;)

    Why a driver?

Ok, thanks! When i get a driver, what else is there to worry about? Cooling? Host?

    Why a driver?

If I have 2 x 1,5V batteries in series, and then connect a 60 Ohm resistor, that should give I = U/R = 3/60 = 50mA. I guess I am wrong, but why? Oh, and if i DO find a battery charger with the specs "3V, 50mA", then it should work, right?

    Why a driver?

Hi, I've been into this laser thing a while now, and since I' considering to build my own, I have a question... Why do i need a "driver" and that stuff? I mean, if I get a laser diode, why can't i simply fix an output of 3V 50mA, connect it directly to the laser diode, and get an output of...
