I did not talk to him. I was not trying to violate any copyrights I was simply taking the changes that he posted a few days ago and adding it to his manual thats all. All I wanted to do was help a little

For those that are interested I am putting together a book with all the most common LD specs and drivers and mods in one nice package. I should have it completed in the next day or two. Input will be welcome.

Thanks. Thats good to know. I am running the A130 at 1000mW. What is the life expectancy of the LD if I run it with a good size heatsink?

I know that this is a little out of sorts but is there any reason to switch out my A130 diode for the A140? I just got the darn thing and now I am reading threads on this new diode.:confused:

I moved the LD off the driver and moved the driver to the pill. A fried of mine suggested I glue it in with some high temp RTV silicone that way I can remove it if I have to service it. Don't worry the pot side of the board is not exposed to the silicone so I can still make adjustment. What...

It's definitely a thermal issue. I am not sure how to heatsink the driver. The batteries are ok when i tested the voltage which is around 4.0v. Does it mean I should unsolder the LD and mount the driver below or. Can you suggest a better idea. I have a MXDL 3405 modified to use. A 18650...

I guess I will order a flexdrive and try it. But from what I read on the forum People are saying that the flexdrive is not as efficient as the Microboost and also the the Microboost is rated for 1000ma. I checked the battery and it is reading 3.9v so I know its ok. Thanks
