so with 400mA how much mW will I get? and thats it? I thoght I would get like.. 600mW at least!! :(

OK. if I put 6V, using an MML driver, current set to 500mA, how much mW will I get considering it's a 48X? I guess it will be more then 300mW cause thats what I get from 20X..

no no, I have a really really small metal peace, no way it's a heatsink also, where talking about LPC diodes here, not blu-ray. I think I need to desolder the diode from there.

OK folks, I got the diode out! but it's had a small peace of metal around it :S

So I was pulling out the diode from the 48X DVD burner and I pulled it out and it looks extreamly odd!! no pins, just a circle of glass now I'm sad :( :cryyy::cryyy::cryyy:

so if I put 500mA to the diode, how much mW will it generate (6V)?

Great but what about the first question? because it's 48X I need to get it 650mA?

Hello, 1. I have a DVD burner 48X diode. I'v already built a 20X red and I'v putted 340mA's to it. This time, 'cause it's a 48X diode, does it mean I can put higher current to it, such as 600-700mA? 2. If so, then I need a nice little driver board that can reach 700mA and is under 10$, sorry...

The problem is with the button cell housing, I guess it will take twice the room of just the button cells.. Well, I'll post the result when the parts will come in the mail!
