A microboost output ground is not tied with battery ground and on flexdrive the ground path is continuous. This will cause problems if you tried to parallel them. Drlava could shed some more light on this as to what would happen if you did this.
The FP heatsink does have more mass than Jayrob's design. Obviously this isn't a huge host with a huge heatsink however at 1 minute runtime it is quite warm. At 2 minutes I would consider it hot. Ive really had no need to run it more than 1 minute at a time. I currently have around 30 minutes...
