    p100 pics

Was the p100 a good buy for you? Something about a diode without a driver board scares me. I tried to buy the P100, but it declined my credit card. I don't know why, but it's probably a good thing, I have too many lasers and not enough time to give them all the attention they deserve. Would you...

    Green Laser Photo collection

Mac- Check out The BoomDog's guide on basic laser show tips Here's his website. http://www.skyfirelasers.com/boomdog/ I made my design based on what he has posted for the spirograph. I consider mine a prototype because I think it's ugly, and the motors don't go slow enough for me to make some...

    Green Laser Photo collection

Thanks SenKat! I'll give it a shot Hopefully that works. Mac- In high school I got into photography because my friend and I got bored one night, and started taking long exposure pictures. From there I just took thousands of them, and got pretty good at learning how to take pictures with...

    Green Laser Photo collection

One more for now ;D I think this one makes my hair and beard look kinda weird, but it's comforting to know that I won't get beard cancer from a laser...(I wonder if anything can give you beard cancer? or if it's possible... probably not, no such thing as beard cells as far as I know). My...

    Green Laser Photo collection

This one was taken after the first picture I uploaded. It has some red in it, but I thought it looked pretty cool, so I doubt anyone will mind. It does still have lots of green in it. And for anyone who's curious about exposure, this one was 48 seconds at f5.0 with the ISO set to 1600.

    Green Laser Photo collection

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like my pics. I'll post some more, let me know what you think. Jesse- This spider one's for you, since you like the first one, I figured this one was a different play on the idea. In fact, this is probably a different spider, these things were all over the place at the...

    Green Laser Photo collection

Styropyro- I used my Pentax on this one. It was in Night mode, so the exposure was 4 seconds long. The F-stop was 3.3. The ISO was 400, and the focal length was 6.30mm. I think the 4 seconds at f-3.3 is probably what matters the most for this picture though. The Other spirograph pictures were...

    Green Laser Photo collection

Last one. I think I might have blinded this spider I saw when I was on vacation... but it's a spider, so it's got eyeballs to spare. I was hoping the web would show up really green, but instead the spider kinda took up most of the shot, a happy accident.

    Green Laser Photo collection

Just two more! I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting so many in a row... I'll try to host my pics off my website next time... Anyway, this one my friends told me it looked kinda like a wireframe snake, I thought it just looked trippy! ;D Enjoy! How I made this shot was I just used the...

    Green Laser Photo collection

This shape was almost perfect... if only my motors would syncronize... :'( I'll have to see if I can fix that in the next spirograph I build.

    Green Laser Photo collection

These probably belong on the Spirograph page in the laser show part, but they're just pictures, so I thought I'd show 'em here instead.

    Green Laser Photo collection

Sorry I've been MIA, I went on vacation. It was a really nice vacation, and then it got better when I got back, because the day after I got home, my DX 30 come in the mail 8-) I just thought I'd share some photos I'd been taking... I don't know how to post more than one photo per page, so I...

    Some new effects...

That's really cool! How'd you do this? I tried it with a Floppy and a static bag, only the static bag worked, and that was on the edges where it's pressed. :'( I don't know if it has to do with the fact that your laser is about 40 times the mW mine is or not. Really cool. I wonder what kind of...

    Hello and Diode ID...

You're probably right Greenie, That makes the most sense, because the IR Light is coming off the reflective surface, and then contacts go to the LD. Maybe there is a PhotoDiode behind the reflector, and it might be a beam splitter. Since this is from a CD ROM drive I don't see this diode being...

    Hello and Diode ID...

Daedal, I'd look for more things on the chip if I knew what I was looking for, or how to look for it. The best I can do now is poke the pins, or solder points with a multi-meter (in diode testing mode of course). I don't know what would happen if I hit the photodiode, I haven't really worked...

    Spirography/Tripple Tunnel

It's a more detailed pic, but I don't have any pictures with just the leads in them. All the square ones have four wires on the leads. The two long cylinder ones seem like they'll work great on my next try at this, since they seem to be able to go very slowly when 2.4 V is supplied. Anyway...

    Spirography/Tripple Tunnel

Thanks for the ideas Daedal. I might get a lot of goodies at the surplus store. I'll have to go take a look and see what they've got. As far as motors go, this is my collection. I have another that's part of a CD ROM drive, but I can't tear it apart, because it has this cool IR counter wheel...

    Spirography/Tripple Tunnel

Things- I got the mirrors at Johann's. It's like a hobby store. I usually go there to get art pencils and stuff. I had some long mirrors from a dead scanner, and was looking for a glass cutter, hoping to use the mirrors from the scanner, cut down to size. Then I found the mirrors. They were like...

    Spirography/Tripple Tunnel

My camera lets me adjust the fps, and the pixel setting. I thought the first video looked like the frames were weird after I compressed it. I wonder if that could affect it... I'll try playing with the settings to see if I can get a better video for you guys. Thanks for all the tips on the...
