Openlase is a opensource library for generating and displaying laser art. It's typically used with a sound card DAC and correction amp or you could use the Lasershark DAC. Lasershark is an opensource laser DAC that was designed to work specifically with Openlase. Links: Openlase Blog Openlase...

    LPF 3D Printer Project FEELER

There's a photolithographic 3d printer called the Peachy printer that uses a 405nm laser. There website links to another company that specialy designed a resin for them. I'll add the link later.

Or the software isn't adding enough (maybe not any) extra points in the corners to make it slow down and create a sharp corner. If you look at the ilda test image the circle in the center is made this way. Try opening your file in laserboy and either add some extra points leading into the...

    LUMIA- one thread for all-

Re: LUMIA- one thread for all Yeah I agree about the crispness. I thought maybe I needed better quality optics but I guess it's just the nature of the beast. I just retread your other post. For some reason I thought you said your video was of 3 RPM motors. I thought it looked way slower...

    LUMIA- one thread for all-

What I meant was use a 1/3RPH with a lumia wheel and then use a 1/3 RPM with another wheal or Hak's glass bulb behind it. You'd probably never see the same pattern twice depending on how random the texture of the first wheel is

    LUMIA- one thread for all-

American science and surplus has a 1/3 and a 1/5 RPH motor. That's 1/180 RPM. If you used one of those for 1 wheel and one of the 1/3 RPM for a second wheel you would practically never see the lumia repeat. 5-HOUR TIMER

FOGGERS!! its time to get you ONE!!' -

The 2 CVS stores by my house did not carry any fog machines this year. In fact there Halloween stuff was pretty sparse this year. They didn't even have spider webs. @Mattronium - you can make your own fog juice if you go to your local drug store and get pure glycerin (CVS has it for about $5)...

    LUMIA- one thread for all-

If you string some hot glue across a piece of glass it can make a pretty interesting effect also. It's really easy to over do it though and end up with a dim effect and a mess glue. On the other hand though you can always scrape it off and start over. I like using the small 5mW 650nm lasers. In...

    LUMIA- one thread for all-

I like the light bulb idea. I used a small butane torch (the kind used by chefs) and an exacto knife with a point/spike instead of the blade. The torch came in a kiot to make Creme Brulee. The exacto I got from radio shack. Came with a bunch of blades including the spike, but a nail would work...

FOGGERS!! its time to get you ONE!!' -

I bought 2 the first one was 50% off (about $15) the day after Halloween. A week latter they still had a couple and they where 75% off. I got one and called up a DJ friend of mine who got the last one. They're little ones but it works allot better than the much more expensive big one I had. I...

Liquid Laser- a scamming company to avoid

I'd be happy to confront him if someone would be willing to send me to Florida. I hate that people get away with sh$@ like this. Unfortuanatly peolple donget way with this across the globe everyday. It not fair and it f$cks things up for the rest.

    LUMIA- one thread for all-

Yours turned out way better than mine. I didn't have a heat gun and when straight for the torch. I like the marble idea. I was going to try and use a heatsink to create a wavy pattern in a piece of glass. I was having trouble with thermal shock and the glass kept shattering. That would be much...

    New 3D printer - Peachy

There's a kickstarter happening to make Photo-lithographic printers for $100. They are also asking for help from laser enthusiast on improving the process. He made his own Galvos, probably quite a bit slower than 30K though. I wonder if a set of cheap 12-25k galvos would be better? Kickstarter...
