    Goldenstar Lab GB: CNI 1.8w 532nm $487 / 1.3w 650nm $423 and more...

Sent you an email :) Dang $500 for almost two watts of green! I guess i will have to stretch that high school budget :p Anyone have experience with these? What is the beam diameter like on the DPSS? Thanks -Matt

    Prepping for first build, opinions??

Single piece heatsinks/pills are great. The heat sink should be as big as it can be while still looking nice :) Personally, I don't like that host :p

    Nichia 460-470nm 9mm 1.4w?!

@Cyparagon Look a post above yours. This is great! I always wanted a lighter blue, but $100 for 5mw, nahhhhhhh. This is awesome. We could prob get at least 2 watts out of it yeah? Also, pushing it can cause slight wavelength shift like in other diodes right? i want one They are...

S06J 12X Build, 2 of 3 lasers (very pic heavy).

That is an x-boost, not a microboost, just letting you know :p Both are great, just sayin. Nice build, but honestly, I understand why no-one wanted to buy that host :p -Matt

Building a 405nm Laser (old one died) need help with the diode / driver selection

I don't think you can just replace the contents of a 301 body. And no, that diode and driver will not work. If you are not willing to spend real money on a real laser, you should stick to the chinese crap. Those diode are crap too. They claim 200mw, but only 35ma in? yea right! Drivers are...

What is the wavelength of true brown?

I was about to call the OP an idiot for starting this thread. Then, i saw the options. There are just too many nms We need 1nm - UV 2nm- Blue 3nm - Green 4nm - Red 5nm - IR And everything in between being exotic, like 2.5nm - Cyan/Sky 3.5nm - Yellow Why can't it be simple? Its so hard to...

    do not go lazerer

Do not complain to us after it was you who did not do the proper research to see if a company is reliable or not. Honestly, i AM sorry for you, but really, this could have been EASILY avoided. Just do a quick search on the forums and THERE IS YOUR ANSWER. Better luck next time. If you want a...

    SOLD: FS Off to College+Car

Re: FS: Off to College+Car Do you know the capacities? They need to be good cells with low internal resistance. -Matt

Re: FS: Off to College+Car What 18650s do you have? I want a few. At least three or four. Depends on specs Thanks -Matt

New to LPF, looking to upgrade, NEED HELP

laserbtb.com Very reliable with high quality lasers. LP 515nm 532nm 1-150 The 80mw pointer fits your budget. Make sure to get glasses. Yes and Rayfoss in Not very reliable Hope this helps  -Matt

    Diode Upgrade?

Some people think that cause they are older, they are smarter. Regardless of experience. I can't change that. I also can't change my crying rep page. In all my year of being on the forum, I have never got neg rep for trying to help someone. That is when you can tell a grudge is involved :p

    Diode Upgrade?

Still pissed at me? All right. I was told you might do that  And yes I tried it last month with a fasttech module. It took me 20 minutes just to get it glued in the right place, even then, I only had a low efficiency and poorly aligned module. Can I have my $100 now? I never said it...

    Wiring help for new build

IMO you should just ditch the LED back-switch, and replace with a key switch or something, and then have a status LED farther up the host (where the driver is in the host) so you can draw from GND and the + at the same time. Kinda like the Laserbtb PL and HL models. Would be SOOOOO much...

    Diode Upgrade?

No, 808nm pump is what you want. To be blatant, you will probably fail in your quest. Lining up DPSS optics is a b1tch, and you need to be VERY experienced to do it. Even though all the crystals are already arranged, the diode will have to be identical, mm to mm in specs and orientation if you...

    most powerful for ~$35?

IMO you won't have to worry about reflections off of wet objects. By the time the light gets back to you it will be so spread out it will do no harm. A low powered [<30mw] green 532nm laser will suit you just fine. Hope this helps :) -Matt

    !Now 200$! Black "grit" powdercoat 2.5W 18650 445nm laser!

IDK for us custom builders our worst enemy for business is the 501B business. (aka Blord and thejoker) who can offer powerful lasers in compact hosts for ridiculously low profit margins. After time, this has made returning customers undervalue the cost of a more custom build. I have nothing...

    2W M140 445nm Laser Diode

Stay at 1.8amps or below. I hear these get unstable at 1.9amps, and it is pretty commonly accepted that 1.8 is the maximum safe current. Dtr always pushes the diodes past the safe current. That doesn't make them safe :p -Matt

    >2.5W Saik with copper module! *PIC HEAVY*

This is a 10 month old thread :p BTW. Korea is the best.

If it were not for that last line, we would have a problem :p EDIT: omg, you had to edit in that last line. I can't believe you thought i was entirely serious...
