    Wtb: 445 <$60

Well, this weird looking guy got one that looks identical as a gift from his Chinese friend (If I remember correctly that is - couldn't bother re-watching the video after a few months). Skip to 3:25 to see it in action. watch?v=aJQswR70WtQ&ab_channel=AlexMandelVlog lol at the guy in the...

980nm photons more expensive than 808nm?

Like almost every single thread I have started so far, I have multiple questions :p There weren't that many threads (actually I found a fair amount of threads, but they weren't many considering the thousands regarding 445nm and 532nm lasers) on IR lasers so I didn't find exactly what I was...

    Good deal or not

 Omg ahaha XD lol I'd say pass. I was thinking of buying this one a few months ago but I decided not to risk it. At the end, I bought one from Eitan (the one 10fenny recommended, but the 1.3-1.8W version). I'm waiting for it to arrive now :)

Make him read Xoul's incident first

    Wtb: 445 <$60

There's a better alternative other than ebay. Either spend 25 bucks more to get one from scifi lasers, or spend less and get one from either O-like or Rayfoss. There's a 1W 445nm being sold on O-Like for 59.99 usd. Even if it's going to be underspec, I'm pretty sure your friend wouldn't even...

    Relativity in games

I think the reason why the "A Slower Speed of Light" became fairly famous is because it is so unique... It would be hard to find similar games... Think of Minecraft when it started a few years ago

Burning a Brown Recluse Spider with Blue Laser

One more tip: Until you have 50+ posts and positive reputation, trying to +rep people won't make any difference. It will show up on their profile so they know that you tried to award them for their post though, so it's still something :) The more rep power you have, the more you can influence...

Burning a Brown Recluse Spider with Blue Laser

By the way, what's the output power of the laser you're using?

    Relativity in games

Dunno if you're looking for a simulation kind of game, I think the Half Life series has to do with some form of time travel... I remember watching the final scene of Half Life 2 and it had a lot to do with physics. For the few minutes I've played the game, there were some references to physics...

Burning a Brown Recluse Spider with Blue Laser

The smell must have been horrible. I did it once with some kind of a beetle, I almost puked

    Panasonic 3200mAh 18650s - $5

Is there a promotion code for these? I saw a post lying somewhere around here about promotion codes... I think it was for GearBest Thanks by the way!

    Blue Laser 1000MW - 450nm - PROBLEM

Ummm... WHAT?! I'm pretty sure that this is not the intended use for batteries sir! Really though, don't do that. It seems to me that the expensive part (the laser diode) is working just fine. I've been told that UltraFire batteries aren't really reliable. Best you can do is to avoid using...

    Question about WickedLasers' 405nm Nano

Yeah, only a few hundred bucks off :P Last I checked, aryntha had bought a 561nm one in 2010 and it costed $845... You're only missing two, but they are the most expensive ones! Better start saving! I don't know how much the price has dropped, but it should definitely still be in the hundreds...

    589nm club membership card

Will you make a video/review of it? It would be really cool!

Best 5mw green laser WITH IR filter?

I have glasses that I use occasionally and I have tried using them as focusing lens. As expected, I did not achieve anything :p In fact, when the beam is passing through the glass, it gets slightly weaker (some of it is reflected back)

Best 5mw green laser WITH IR filter?

As far as you're not shining the laser in your eyes, you won't need them. The reason why most countries consider the purchase of lasers above 5mW illegal, is because they can damage your vision (burn the retina for example and cause partial blindness) fairly easily. Accidentally shining a 5mW...

    Question about WickedLasers' 405nm Nano

Oh, I didn't know that. I bet some of those wavelengths will be really extravagant! How many mW for the 510nm though (I suppose 5mW...)? Is it that different from the 520nm diodes? I mean, is it really worth it? I suppose it's closer to cyan but still...

    Question about WickedLasers' 405nm Nano

Sure, but few of them are common in handheld lasers or pointers, right? Are there any other WL in use by handheld lasers, other than the ones I mentioned?

    Question about WickedLasers' 405nm Nano

Like Alex said, there's no IR radiation leaking from the diode. You only need to worry about IR when using a DPSS laser (Diode Pumped Solid State), like a 532nm one or a 473nm. If I'm not mistaken, 593.5nm and 589nm lasers are also DPSS ones. I read that 404nm DPSS lasers have also been...

    Question about WickedLasers' 405nm Nano

This makes sense actually. I stand corrected, thanks! :D
