    Focusing Laser BTB HL-450

Hi thanks for responding. When I back it off a little the beam just gets wider. It just starts to get to its thinnest as it reaches the point where it cannot be screwed in any more. I will post pictures when I get a chance.

    Focusing Laser BTB HL-450

Hi. I assume this is the right place to post this question. I have done a search but haven't found an answer. I recently received a HL-450nm 100mW from Laser BTB. I am very happy with the laser so far. I do have one small issue with it though. While trying to focus to infinity, the focus is...

150 Watt 25mm laser in Florida Dec. 3

You're welcome. I'm glad to be able to contribute :) I'm taking my students on a field trip to the space center in a couple of months. I am hoping to get up close and take a look at this laser if it is still there. Will have plenty of pics then.

150 Watt 25mm laser in Florida Dec. 3

Well I didn't post yet because the first picture is found in the link on the first post in this thread. And for the second picture, it can be found by a google search. But here they are anyway. My apologies for the wait I cant figure out why I can't post the images from my album on here...

150 Watt 25mm laser in Florida Dec. 3

So it ended up clearing up last night but I couldn't see anything. I looked at a live feed of the Kennedy visitor's center where the laser is but it wasn't lit at the time. I did however find a nice picture of the laser from Dec 3rd, taken at the center itself. If you guys haven't found any yet...

150 Watt 25mm laser in Florida Dec. 3

I live near Orlando. We can see launches easily from here. I will try to get some pictures and video if we can see it :) That is, if it will be turned on again for Friday's launch.

Great read, should be mandatory IMO.

So, then technically, when pointed horizontally through the atmosphere, (parallel with the ground), the beam should appear to terminate further away than when pointing up towards this boundary layer. Actually I would think that it would tail off rather than an abrupt stop, due to the absence of...

So excited to get my new sci-fi lasers!

I just received a 520nm 200-300mw laser from Sci-Fi yesterday. This is a fantastic laser. Once in the mail, it took only 10 days to reach me in Florida. (standard shipping)

    Deciding between 1.1W 450 or 100+mW 532

When I take my students out to do some star-hopping, we find that it takes about 1/2 hour in darkness for our eyes become fully adjusted. At this point we can begin to find very dim objects that we would otherwise not be able to see with any bright light source around. I find that my low power...

    Space and Other Non-laser Distractions...

Those pictures are stunning! I have an 8" newtonian telescope along with a t-adapter and a fully manual Nikon camera. However, I haven't gotten around to taking any pictures as of yet. I can't, however, do any long exposures because the telescope has no tracking. Great job

    Hello

Hi. Just joined a few weeks ago and meant to post this introduction earlier. My name is Gary. I've been reading your forum and have to say that it is very informative. I took to the search and recently purchased a laser from a recommended vendor. Eventually, I would like to build my own. As for...
