rayfoss broken out of the box?

Have you contacted rayfoss yet? Did you check the voltage of the battery to make sure it's in the right range?

    Wicked refusing to refund

Call your bank as soon as possible and see if you can perform a chargeback, though depending on how long it has been and the bank, that option may already be closed. When possible it's better to pay with a real credit card as they have better fraud protections; debit cards tend to vary widely...

newbie advice on CNI 532 100mv vs 350mv

If I recall correctly - four times the power doubles the visibility. So if they are both at spec, the 350 will be around twice as bright. With that said, CNI lasers are often overspec; I wouldn't be surprised if the 350 pushes out well over its rating. There is a CNI group buy in the works, you...

Review of $170.00 445nm Lvyi Electronics Laser

Glad you actually got it, was looking somewhat iffy for a while there. For the money, it doesn't seem all that bad - give or take the issue with the switch. I wouldn't order one personally, but >700mW for $170 is still a reasonable deal IMO.

    473nm 5mW pointer???

Is that price still with a minimum order of 10? You might see if you can get a sample to see what this really is. I still have doubts about this; still seems too cheap.

    Possible cheap host? $1.39 ebay

Mine came today; as expected you get what you pay for, there's certainly a reason these are cheap. Neither model would make much of a host (expect maybe for a rather low power build), as there just isn't the mass to dissipate much heat. As a flashlight, the output certainly isn't that...

    Can 200mw red light candle?

They aren't pretty, but for a 200mW laser they work well enough. I have a pair but I'm not really happy with how much red is still visible, but LPM testing through the lens doesn't register on my Laserbee II, indicating that it's taking 202mW to less than 5mW. Far from perfect, but they'll...

Hi, new to forum and lasers

You would be surprised at how many people don't make that assumption; so after a while you just get in the habit of saying that to everybody that's new. You're good, done nothing wrong :)

    Can 200mw red light candle?

You are talking about this one right? New Style waterproof red laser 200mW /adjustable [OLNWRL200] - $53.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products I like that it takes a 18650, which is my favorite battery to work with. As you move to more powerful lasers, you'll find that a...

Need a good 100mw-150mw laser, dino direct any good?

There are a number of companies that ship to the US; o-like, rayfoss and many others. Though doing so runs the risk that a package will be seized by customs, though this vary rarely happens.

    Can 200mw red light candle?

I don't believe so; from what I've heard the minimum is closer to 500mW. Testing real quick with my 202mW red - it just cuts the wick, but doesn't generate enough heat to cause ignition. It takes approximately 10 to 15 business days for it to be delivered to the US. If it's seized by customs...

how do i keep my laser protected?

I have a couple cheap ($10) padded cases from Wal-Mart that have customizable foam inserts; working out quite well so far. They also have a loop for a padlock so they can be secured if need be. From Amazon: Amazon.com: Plano Protector Four Pistol Case: Sports & Outdoors

    NOW 447nm CNI lasers & GB #11

I was rather hoping that somebody with more history here than me would make that point. He does this as a favor for us, at this point this GB must be more of a pain than anything else for him. If he's making any money on this I would hate to see what it comes out to per hour; it can't be much...

I bought 3 more lasers on ebay

The guys behind wlaser seem to actually care about customers, which is rare for people selling lasers in that price range. I've got a couple things from them, all been good for the money.
