Re: 455nm vs electrical tape you should watch your diode at that current/power, your aixiz acrylic lens will start to degrade and the reflection off the lens will shine back in to the diode and fry it.. IIRC that happened to styropyro. nice video BTW stuart :)

well the PHR sled has a RED/IR combo diode and the PS3 KES-400 sled has a RED/IR/BLU-RAY also has a combo diode, and they are cheap... stuart :)

styropyro uses that heatsink with his 445 build, and it works nicely for about 3-4 minutes but for a projector, you will need a much bigger heatsink and definitely a fan. stuart :)
